needed to change some things to assure that if my students or co teachers googled (or naver-ed, if you will) my name they WOULD'T click on the first result of my blog...so i changed my name to kate b. i think that will work. welcome to the new blue blog.

the tangerine harvest has started in seogwipo. my host-grandparents own a tangerine farm, so my host parents are picking tangerines every day from now to february. today i was discussing the harvest with my co-teacher and she said that 'all houses in seogwipo are empty from november to february...'

though i will miss some quality time with my host mom, i love how, like in ohio, my life cannot escape the rhythm of the harvest. we should all be so lucky to remain so connected, though inadvertently, to the earth.
